"As experienced architects from Germany we have designed and built many homes ourselves. Kensington have done an excellent job both on architectural design and construction. It was very productive to use an architect who works for them and in addition have Kensington’s head of construction work closely with the architect at all times. It saves money, time and reduces problems. The Kensington team have put a huge amount of effort into our home and done everything possible to help us. Of course we were worried about not being in Thailand while the home was designed and built. We could not be there to oversee it. This is where Kensington really were fantastic.
All we had to do was come twice a year to have a look. They did all the rest and took great care of the project with the same care as if it was their own home. It was wonderful to have a house designed and built without having to be there. We communicated by e-mail and phone. We have only good words to speak of this company. Kensington have done a perfect job. We are very satisfied with our house, the way they performed and most importantly the decency with which they dealt with us at all times. " I am an expat who is married to a Thai lady; I have lived in Thailand for over 10 years. I know the prices here and know the industry pretty well. I wanted to find a competent and professional builder who had a good reputation, was as competitive as any other builder on price, but understood quality. A business colleague suggested I try Kensington. That turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Initially I checked out the web site and e-mailed them. I got an e-mail back within a few hours and met their MD next day. It was quick and easy. Chris was responsive, helpful and took all the stress out of it; knew what he was talking about and gave me total confidence in their abilities. Next they organised a meeting with their construction guys and within a week I was creating designs with their architect; who was considerably lower in price than all the others I contacted. He spoke good English and within 12 weeks we had completed plans.
"Kensington then gave me a free written quotation. I did in fact get two other quotes too; but I had already made my decision as I was not going to work with people who instilled no confidence in me. It turned out Kensington's price was in the middle but the lower quote company had replaced quality materials with cheap low end ones. Hence the price difference. It was obvious Kensington could not be beat on quality and value for money. Easy choice for me to make. From design, construction, installation of all my features such as pool Jacuzzi, sauna and so on; I would definitely use Kensington's services again. Nice lads, know what they are doing and do a great job for the price. A sound combination of European experience and eye for detail, along with Thai creative skills and hard work. Very pleased indeed. "

"I was recommended by an expat contractor to speak to Kensington about building a house. Due to my travels overseas and my detailed specifications, I was looking for a professional company I could trust to oversee the project and do everything from start to finish. Kensington were friendly, professional and very helpful in assisting me build my home. They offered excellent advice and helped me get exactly what I wanted. It all went very smoothly and they made sure everything was done correctly. A legal contract was provided that was fair to both parties. In addition they sent digital images during construction for when I was outside of Thailand. The house is now complete along with motorcycle museum, strong room, gym, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, guest house and maid's house. They did it all with a professional attitude, a smile and a great degree of building experience. It really was a pleasure doing business with them and I would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to build a house in Thailand."
